Processing Returns and Exchanges
Wrong size, not what you expected, need a different fit?
It’s not always easy to get the right fit when you’re buying clothes online. We want you to feel confident when shopping, so we offer free first time returns and discounted future returns for full priced items. That’s right, if you need to return or exchange something the first time, then it's FREE. For subsequent purchases we offer you cheaper return postage than most other options. If we offered everyone free returns and exchanges all the time, we’d need to raise our prices. We don’t want to have to do that, so we offer to meet you in the middle.
How to exchange something
If you want an exchange, we will do our best to supply the exact garment and size that you’re after. The sooner you let us know what to put aside for you, the more likely we are to have it. Email email@example.com and a real person will respond.
If we don’t have the stock you want, we’ll get in touch with you asap so we can offer an alternative or come to another arrangement.
For goods shipped within Australia we can offer free and discounted postage – see below.
If this is your first online purchase with us, we offer FREE returns within Australia. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org about what you’d like to return/exchange and we’ll email you a label to attach to your parcel (you will need access to a printer). Then drop it in at Australia Post – this means it can be scanned for tracking. Please wrap your parcel securely and protect the garment. Damaged garments will be not accepted for exchanges or refunds.
Again, if this is your first online purchase, we will send you any full-priced exchange items for free as well. Basically, your first purchase is your chance to order up big! If you’re not sure of a size, get a few sizes and get free postage on returns and exchanges for the ones that didn’t work for you. Refunds and exchanges will be processed as quickly as possible, but please allow 8 to 10 working days for processing.
For all subsequent full-priced online purchases, we offer you discounted postage for exchanges and returns. Get in touch about your return or exchange at email@example.com and we can email you a prepaid label for your post bag. For this you will need access to a printer. The return postage will cost you $7.95, which is cheaper than many other means of postage.
The amount of $7.95 will be deducted from the refund or exchange amount. Attach the label to your return and have it scanned at Australia Post for tracking. We recommend packing your return securely and having the parcel tracked. Chasing Springtime does not accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
If you’d like to exchange the goods, then, providing we have them in stock we’ll get in touch with you to process a delivery charge for the exchange items. We always try to keep these costs as low as possible for our customers.
Unfortunately, at this stage, international purchasers will need to pay postage both ways i.e. pay to return the goods to us and for us to send any exchanged items to you. Further details about the costs involved are available in in our Shipping Policy.
Chasing Springtime complies with Consumers’ Rights and Obligations according to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. If you’d like to read them they can be found here.
Proof of purchase must be provided for all returns, repairs, refunds and exchanges.
If the garment was a gift, Chasing Springtime will send any replacement or exchanged item to the address the original purchase was sent to.
All goods must be returned to Chasing Springtime within 14 days of purchase to be eligible for an exchange or refund.
Refunds and exchanges are not available for sale items.
All items returned must be unused, unworn, unwashed and in the same condition that you received it. It must also have the original tags still attached.
Chasing Springtime reserves the right to reject the return of goods that are not returned in accordance with our Returns and Exchanges Policy.
We pride ourselves on quality garments, but we’re only human, and so are our makers. So, if a garment is faulty, we’ll help you as best we can.
Faulty garments can be returned for a repair (minor fault) or refund/exchange (major fault), even if it was a gift. Please contact us first to let us know about the fault and we can discuss the options available: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Naturally the sooner we know the problem, the sooner we can fix it. Chasing Springtime does small style runs, so if your garment has a major flaw (i.e. cannot be mended) we can replace it with another garment, but it might not be the style you originally purchased. We will always contact your first to discuss the options.
Normal wear and tear is not considered a fault.
Please follow the care instructions sewn into the garments. If these have not been followed then you will not be eligible for a repair, exchange or refund.
